I am new at building a web site, this may be a stupid ? Why do I get the following message on all my pages?

This file is not intended to be viewed directly using a web browser. To create a viewable file, use the Preview in Browser or Publish to Yahoo! Web Hosting commands from within Yahoo! SiteBuilder

What file are you trying to view? But first you should try going through Yahoo SiteBuilder and clicking publish. I%26#039;ve never used the yahoo builder, but if you can get Microsoft Frontpage I%26#039;d suggest that for novices. It%26#039;s not the most powerful tool around, but I%26#039;ve never had any problems with content uploads and the like.

You may be using files with names that don%26#039;t end in .html or .htm. If you are not familiar with HTML then create your files using a site builder utility program that automatically saves your files ready to upload or that directly interacts with your website. I don%26#039;t use it but I believe SiteBuilder does that.
