What is the most user-friendly, easiest software to use to create my own Web site?

I want to create a Web site that chronicles my life...but not a blog. I%26#039;d use words, lots of photos, documents, etc. I%26#039;m looking for either a Web hosting company that has very easy software to build a site or purchasable software that I can use and then load onto an existing hosting firm. I have no Web site design or HTML experience. This isn%26#039;t for day-to-day postings but a general document (hence, not a blog) I also want to ensure that the Web site can stay up indefinitely and not go down because the hosting company is sold or goes out of business. What is my best option?

i don%26#039;t know much but freewebs is very easy to use and might be helpful

its not complicated and its nice

there is tripod.com u can try but i haven%26#039;t so i don%26#039;t know much
Reply:There are 2 things I would recommend. If you%26#039;re interested in using softoware to develop your site, Frontpage is very easy. You can pretty much point and click to get your website going. Another options, is if you are Word savy, create your page in word and then save it as html.

The second would be to use the tools that Yahoo offers on their free websites. You can design a very simple page and then use Frontpage to make it better and/or bigger.

I love CoffeeCup, but it%26#039;s not very intuative for a beginner.
Reply:the best hosting companies would be like:

www.godaddy.com

www.bravehost.com

these are trusted websites, and they are even on the TV.

if you want a website creator(also called HTML editor),

you should definitely try the microsoft office frontpage.

or, you can try the CoffeeCup editor.

REMEMBER, as you want them to be, none of these programs require the knownledge of any HTML. they%26#039;re really easy. if you want free programs, go to sourceforge.net and search for an HTML editor. everything is free there.

A TIP FOR YOU:

i know that you want a website, not a blog, but you should consider this: there is a website called www.dot.tk.

it offers you free domains. this is no joke. but you should already have a page, so when you signup for a domain, it automatically redirects the visitors to the page you already have. so you might wanna create a page on googlepages.com and redirect it to dot.tk. then your website would be like:

www.mypage.tk

try my website--its created on googlepages, and redirects on dot.tk. also, googlepages has a good HTML editor.

if you have a gmail or google account, create a page here at

googlepages.com/login

THIS IS MY WEBSITE:

www.marquiskarabas.tk

dont get scared, just humorous!
