I have created web pages .It shows some red crosses instead of pictures and no links work?

I have created web pages in MS publisher 2007and it shows normally in preview but after uploading exactly all the files in two free web hosting (Geocities and free spaces ) it shows some red crosses instead of pictures and no links work and I can only access home page background . What should I do?

It sounds like you haven%26#039;t got the URLs to the other pages or images correct. Possibly you haven%26#039;t uploaded the files, or the case of the file name has changed. It is difficult to say for sure without a URL.

That said, Publisher is not a good piece of software for creating webpages. I haven%26#039;t see the output of 2007, but the output of earlier versions (and I say this with no exaggeration at all) was the very worst HTML I%26#039;ve ever seen.

If you email me (iswd1@yahoo.com) and include the source code, I can look it over for you. I have been in web design for more years than I care to admit to.

It is hard to debug something without seeing the code. Just copy and paste it into an email and I can look at your tags and links and imgs.
Reply:Learn a lot more about making web pages would be a start.
Reply:Look at your html in your page designer. As you build your tags the pics come up from a folder on your system the look something like this - %26lt;img src=%26quot;../../../Family Pictures/mevette.jpg%26quot; width=%26quot;2048%26quot; height=%26quot;1536%26quot; alt=%26quot;%26quot; border=%26quot;0%26quot; align=%26quot;%26quot;%26gt;.

In order for the server to read after you ftp the picture you must strip out everything before the actual jpg or gif. Good Luck.
